This workshop covers origin of soil, plasticity characteristics of soil and soil classification as per BIS 1498-1970.Also this workshop will give exposure to site investigations, ground improvement techniques, Foundation on expansive soils and determination of bearing capacity of soil by Plate load test. This knowledge and skills developed through this workshop will help the participants to develop useful knowledge on application of Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering
